That's why we encourage learning, growth, and trying new things-even if you don't have all the answers yet.Our culture is rooted in fierce determination, fearless integrity, and passionate service-but we also like to keep things collaborative, supportive, and down-to-earth.We're looking for people who:Are curious and excited about technologyLike solving problems and figuring things outCan take initiative but also enjoy working with a teamWant to keep learning, growing, and challenging themselvesIf you're someone who's eager to jump in, learn something new, and make an impact-you'll fit right in here.Responsibilities:Serves as the Oracle 19c database authority for the migration of a legacy U.S. Army enterprise system into Palantir Foundry (Army Vantage), with a focus on migration and transition engineering rather than steady-state database maintenanceExtracts the legacy Oracle 19c database on NIPRNet, producing a consistent point-in-time, integrity-validated snapshot and staging it for load into Palantir FoundryReverse-engineers the highly normalized, time-variant legacy schema and leads source-to-target data mapping of key processes and data objects, including application-dependency mapping across source systems to sequence the migration safelyAnalyzes legacy Oracle ETL jobs and PL/SQL objects to determine what must be refactored versus retired in the move to the Palantir Foundry pipelinePerforms data profiling, cleansing, and source-to-target reconciliation (row- and field-level integrity) to enforce system data-quality and validation rules on migrated dataWorks within the existing Oracle Data Guard replication/sync topology to establish a repeatable extract and incremental sync into Palantir Foundry without disrupting the legacy system during the proof of conceptPartitions, bulk-loads, and performance-tunes specifically for one-time and incremental migration throughputApplies DoD and Army requirements throughout the transition, including STIG-hardened Oracle baselines, RMF, NIPRNet constraints, and proper handling of controlled dataRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)10+ years of Oracle database administration experience, including hands-on database migration and data transition projectsAdvanced Oracle 19c expertise, including RMAN, Data Pump, ASM, PL/SQL, and partitioning, with working knowledge of Oracle Data Guard replicationDemonstrated data migration experience: point-in-time extraction, source-to-target mapping, data profiling, reconciliation, and data-quality validationExperience analyzing legacy PL/SQL and Oracle ETL code to drive refactor-or-retire decisionsDoD environment experience: STIG-hardened Oracle baselines, RMF, and NIPRNet constraintsAdminister, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databasesPlan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databasesProvides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignmentsEstablishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
